Qantas has announced its fifth direct flight to Japan to cater to Australia’s growing demand for snow holidays.
The latest thrice-weekly service will depart from Sydney, flying direct to Sapporo on the north side of Japan’s island of Hokkaido.
The A330 services will fly between 16 December, 2019 and 28 March, 2020; offering more than 10,000 additional seats for ski buffs to access popular resorts like Niseko and Rusutsu.
The new Sydney-Sapporo services are now open for reservation.
Effective immediately, Australian passport holders will be able to use the UK’s automated e-gates on arrival into all international airports; including Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Edinburgh.
“The expanded access to ePassport gates… is part of our work to transform the UK’s border, providing a quicker, seamless experience for passengers that is built around digital systems,” said UK Immigration Minister Caroline Nokes.
UK landing cards have also been abolished.
Celebrated coffee masters, St Ali, have opened their latest iteration at Melbourne Airport.
Located in the T2 international departure lounge, the St Ali team will serve everything from coffee to cocktails (coffee-inspired, of course!) from 5am – 1am.
Decked out in classic St. Ali style, it will also serve St Ali staples, like the Redeye (a combination of espresso and filter) and the Melbourne Only (espresso with cold milk, panela sugar, whipped cream and raspberry).
