In line with its strategic growth plans for 2019, Platinum opened a Perth office on January 2nd, 2019. Uniquely placed parallel to Cottesloe’s bustling coffee strip, Napoleon Street, the homestead-style office features a relaxed, open plan lounge and living room area for staff, clients and travel partners to meet and collaborate, as well as several dedicated work rooms for local and visiting staff. “The Cottesloe office has a warm, dynamic feel to it, and I’m confident will be a space that supports our continued focus on staff health and happiness,” says Platinum Director, Andrew Buerckner.

Platinum’s rapid growth – upwards of 30% YoY since 2015 - was recognised industrywide in November with an Australian Travel Award for Travel Agency of the Year. Its expansion to Perth comes in response to a significant increase in demand by local and international corporate and events clients, and will be spearheaded by Speciality Travel experts (and Perth locals), Andrea Cameron and Laura Maitland, whose strong connections in the global hospitality and arts industries have been a catalyst for Platinum’s growing success in Perth.

Director, Andrew Buerckner, signed off on the company’s Perth office in November, and is optimistic about the opportunities a West Australian base presents the company in the years ahead; particularly in the corporate and resource travel sectors. “The Perth community is incredibly strong – both socially and professionally – and that’s something we’re excited to be a part of. Personal relationships are at the heart of all business operations in W.A., and that’s a perfect fit for Platinum and everything we stand for.”

The opening of Platinum’s Perth office is the first of two planned for Q1, 2019.
